Members rebate generates a community benefit fund
As a not-for-profit organisation, any surplus generated over the financial year is re-distributed into SPA’s Community Benefit Fund. SPA’s Committee Partners are eligible to apply for a portion of the fund each year to use for projects for their local community.
We work in partnership with Lintel Trust who manage the fund and support Committee Partners in their delivery of community benefit projects, including sourcing match funding. Projects and causes must meet specific criteria determined by partners to ensure the Fund is used to support local needs and communities.
It’s been another busy and successful year for SPA’s Community Benefit Fund with over £220,000 distributed through the fund and match funding to projects across Scotland. From COVID-19 relief projects to community First Aid training, this year SPA’s fund has almost 19,000 beneficiaries through 15 projects.
