SFHA has announced that SPA, Changeworks and Warmworks will sponsor its upcoming virtual Energy Conference.

The conference, taking place on Tuesday 21 September, will explore practical solutions to improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions in the social housing sector. 

Taking place in the lead up to the United Nations’ Climate Change Conference (COP26), SFHA’s event provides an opportunity for the housing sector and energy and sustainability experts to come together to discuss key challenges.

Changeworks is Scotland’s leading environmental charity, delivering positive solutions for low carbon living. They work with organisations to improve energy efficiency, reduce fuel poverty, prevent waste, and inspire low carbon behaviours.   

Warmworks is a joint venture partnership between Energy Saving Trust, Changeworks and Everwarm which is committed to promoting affordable warmth and increasing energy efficiency in homes across the country.   

Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) provides partners – such as councils, housing associations, universities and emergency services – with access to innovative procurement solutions, which aim to drive social value by streamlining construction, refurbishment and maintenance contracts.

The sponsors will join a programme of confirmed speakers in responding to the key challenges being faced by the sector as part of the transition to a ‘net-zero nation’ and offer insight into how these can be addressed in a just and fair way.
