Project overview

Sidey Solutions were appointed to this projects through SPA’s U9 PVC-U Windows and Doors Products Framework for Clackmannanshire Council. The project aim was to provide energy efficient products that would improve quality of life for the Council’s tenants in over 500 properties throughout Clackmannanshire.  This project was very successful and achieved over 98% tenant satisfaction and won an award for excellent quality at the LHC Group 50 Awards.

Energy efficiency

Sidey installed energy efficient Solartherm products, which are manufactured using a UK supply chain for resin, extrusions, and door slabs providing a low carbon fenestration solution with a short lead time. They carried out the manufacture, supply, and installation of the windows and doors. Sidey’s Solartherm windows and doors provide EESSH standard performance to the residents whilst refreshing the appearance of the properties.

Partnership working

Sidey placed long term sustainability ahead of short-term gain when working with Clackmannanshire Council on this project, as well as, an added emphasis on tenant engagement. Each property was installed within one day to limit disturbance to residents and personalise, inclusive customer care packs were given out. In addition to this Sidey donated windows for a games room for Play Alloa, Clackmannanshire’s local disability charity.
